Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a useful, everyday tool for our professional services teams, 天美传媒 and academics. When used well, it can help make work quicker and easier, support decision-making, and free up time to focus on the parts of the job that you really enjoy and need your insight.

AI can help with things like drafting and summarising documents, analysing data, answering common questions, and spotting patterns or potential issues faster than doing it all by hand.

Used responsibly and securely, it can boost productivity, improve consistency, and cut down on repetitive tasks, helping you get results while still using your professional judgement.

AI is a core theme of our Digital Plan, and is a key focus for Imperial. A Professional Service AI Working Group has been created to discuss AI and how embedding it into our culture responsibly can create positive change for operations, planning and ways of working.

dAIsy - generative AI platform

dAIsy is Imperial's AI platform, designed to give you safe, easy access to multiple generative AI models (such as GPT, Claude, Deepseek, and others) through a single interface.

Microsoft Copilot

MS Copilot is Microsoft’s AI assistant built into the tools many people already use at work, like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and your Edge browser.

GitHub Copilot

We've just concluded a proof of concept with GitHub Copilot.- an AI-powered coding assistant developed by GitHub that helps developers write code more quickly and with fewer errors. It can suggest code in real time, understand context from your file, comments, and existing code, and even write your documentation. With GitHub Copilot you also have easy access to Codex and Claude agents to support your code development.

Research Computing Services - HEX-AI

HEX is our AI‑focused research computing platform, operated by the Research Computing Service. It is designed specifically to support AI, machine learning, and data‑intensive research and teaching across the university. Built on modern GPU infrastructure and AI software stacks, it's suitable for training and running advanced AI models.
