Michael Jewett is a Professor of Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering at Stanford University. His research group works on biochemical engineering with applications in medicine, manufacturing, sustainability, and education. He has received a number of awards and fellowships, including the NIH Pathway to Independence Award, the David and Lucile Packard Fellowship in Science and Engineering, and the Camille-Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award. He is an elected member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, the American Academy of Microbiology, and the National Academy of Inventors. He co-founded SwiftScale Biologics (acquired by National Resilience), Ridge Bio, Pearl Bio, and Synolo Therapeutics.
