Dipender Saluja is Co-Managing Partner of the Capricorn Technology Impact Fund and a longstanding member of Capricorn’s investment team, having joined the firm in 2007. He focuses on scaling companies at the intersection of technology and sustainability, with a portfolio spanning advanced mobility, clean energy, and climate innovation. Prior to Capricorn, Dipender served as Chief of Staff at Cadence Design Systems, a global leader in electronic design automation. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Data General, Honeywell, ROLM (IBM), and the GF Energy Research Center, building a foundation across engineering, operations, and emerging technologies. Dipender serves on the boards of several pioneering companies, including Joby Aviation, Navitas, QuantumScape, Electric Hydrogen, and Saildrone. Beyond his board work, he contributes to global energy and innovation efforts as a member of the Leadership Council of Cyclotron Road, an advisor to the International Solar Alliance, and a commissioner with the Global Commission to End Energy Poverty. He is trained as an electrical engineer and studied at the University of North Dakota, the University of Minnesota, and Stanford University.
