The ICB CDT has organised training in Policy, run by the Imperial Policy Forum, on Wednesday 23rd September 2026, 10:15 – 12:30.
This session is mandatory for CDT-funded ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and highly recommended for all other invited ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. This training will be held in the MSRH G23/24.

Imperial Policy Forum are a small team based in the Presidents’ Office that support Imperial researchers to make connections with policymakers who can make use of their evidence and expertise. This work takes the form of training events designed to build the confidence and capacity for researchers to identify and engage with policymakers, individual support for specific projects, and providing advice and assistance wherever possible.

In this session, Dr Craig Whittall (Policy & Programmes Manager) will introduce:

  • Benefits for researchers of engaging with policymakers
  • UK policy audiences (government, parliament, external influencers)
  • Practical steps to identify audiences and opportunities to share your research
