Japanese courses are a popular choice for adult evening language class learners.

The reason why Japanese is a popular language to learn on the evening classes at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ depends on who you are and on your motivation. You might be planning to visit Japan on holiday, or to settle in the country or do business with the Japanese-speaking world. Or maybe you are just fascinated by Japanese history and culture.

Whatever the reason, you will be joining a global community of Japanese speakers as the language is spoken, as the first language, by around, 130 million people worldwide.

Whether you are a beginner in learning Japanese, or you have some experience of speaking the language, the part-time Japanese courses we offer at Imperial College, including beginner Japanese classes for adults and more advanced classes for those with some experience of speaking Japanese, are designed to help you develop your language skills quickly and effectively.

The courses are taught in the evening, making them ideal as Japanese language courses for working professionals, but ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ on the Japanese language evening class come from many different backgrounds, from ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and lecturers, to working people and retirees, as everyone is welcome.

The Imperial College Japanese language programme is designed to help you get the most from the experience of learning a language, in a friendly and supportive environment. Classes are taught by expert Japanese language tutors who have a great deal of experience delivering  language courses for evening ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, and they are the same tutors who deliver Japanese language courses to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ on the highly regarded undergraduate programme at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.

In 2023 our adult education ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ rated our adult education courses as "excellent" with an overall score of 4.6 out of 5 in the student satisfaction survey.
