  • In India, he chairs the International Advisory Board of (Consortium of Accredited Organisations).

Past roles

2011-2025

  • In Ireland, he delivered programmes to develop clinical leaders in quality improvement and patient safety at the (RCPI).

2016-2021

  • He was Chief Executive Officer of the (ISQua) from May 2016 to April 2021. He introduced changes that have enabled ISQua to become a leader in quality and patient safety as well as in accreditation.

2005-2016

  • He was a Health Foundation Quality Improvement Fellow at IHI in 2005-2006, and he was the Deputy Medical Director with the lead for Patient Safety at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
  • He was a Consultant Paediatrician at the Royal Free Hospital in London, specialising in the challenge of long-term conditions for children.

1994 -2005

  • He was a Medical Director and Clinical Director of Paediatrics at North West London NHS Trust from 1996 to 2004. He was a Consultant Paediatrician covering both acute and community paediatrics
  • He managed the service at Central Middlesex Hospital after the into Victoria Climbie.
