Dr Cheryl Battersby (Chair) Senior Lecturer in Neonatal Medicine, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, UK

Dr Cheryl Battersby is a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Clinician Scientist and Clinical Senior Lecturer in Neonatal Medicine at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. She also serves as an Honorary Consultant Neonatologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Her research focusses on leveraging routine clinical data to better understand the needs of babies admitted to neonatal units and to drive improvements in neonatal care and service delivery across the UK. 

Dr Battersby leads the NeoWONDER (Neonatal Whole Population Data linkage to improve the lifelong health and wellbeing of preterm babies) research programme, which links data from the National Neonatal Research Database with national health and education records to identify ways to improve both short and long-term outcomes for preterm infants. She is the Honorary Secretary of the British Association of Perinatal Medicine, a past Chair of the Data and Informatics Steering Committee, and the Deputy Chair of the NIHR Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Prioritisation Committee for hospital-based care.
