Timesheets must be completed by Directly Incurred (DI) staff who are part鈥慶harged to an Innovate UK award i.e. staff who split their time across more than one award or funding source within a month. DI staff typically include:
- Research staff (researchers, clinical research fellows, research nurses)
- Fellows
- Project-specific non-research staff (e.g. technicians, clerical roles)
Time for Principal Investigators and Co鈥慖nvestigators is classified by Innovate UK as Directly Allocated (DA).
DI staff who work 100% of their time on a single Innovate UK award, and all DA staff, should complete a declaration instead of a timesheet.
