Timesheets are mandatory for all staff working on European Commission awards, including PIs, Co-Is, Marie Sk艂odowska–Curie Fellows, Casual Workers, and PhD 天美传媒. This applies to anyone working on the award, whether their time is fully or partially charged. ERC PIs must also complete timesheets, even if they are not charging salary to the project, to demonstrate that they have met their contractual commitments.

This requirement also applies to Horizon Europe awards covered by the UKRI Guarantee Scheme.

Every timesheet that includes hours worked on an EC project must include a brief description of the work carried out. If the award is organised around Work Packages, the timesheet must also show a breakdown of hours by Work Package.

In addition to the timesheet, you must ensure:

  • A separate absence record is maintained (e.g., TeamSeer). Auditors will cross-check this against the timesheet to verify hours worked.
  • Any work-related travel time recorded on the timesheet can be supported by evidence demonstrating the link to the project, such as conference documentation, project meeting notes, or similar records. Auditors will verify that this time relates directly to the project.
