Research by an MSci student from last year, Katie Oliver, has just been published in the leading European Inorganic Chemistry journal, Dalton Transactions. Katie's work, carried out in the Wilton-Ely group, was also chosen for the cover image, which illustrates how polydentate ligands can be used as 'jigsaw pieces' to bring together different metal units into one molecular assembly. Such multimetallic compounds can be designed so that the metal units can perform complementary functions in applications such as catalysis, sensing and cancer therapy. Read article
