Cristian Candela and Mireia Crispin were awarded the 'Special Prize for the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures '

"Cristian Candela and Mireia Crispin have recieved a special prize of 9500€ (the highest amount awarded), called "Special Prize for the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures"  for the project "Formulation of a semiempirical model for the Bragg peak within the context of hadrontherapy"  by the Spanish Minister for Education.The project originated at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ during their stay as Physics undergraduate exchange ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ in the past year. They were supervised at Imperial by Dr Morteza Aslaninejad and their work resulted as well in a publication at Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, Section B."
