Julien Beaulieu, PhD student at the Centre for Environmental Policy, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, is named 2025 Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholar.

Julien is the first doctoral student from ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ to receive this prestigious honour since the program’s inception in 2003.

Julien’s research project, titled “Climate litigation: greenwashing and compensation for climate damage,” impressed the selection committee, contributing to his selection as one of only sixteen scholars chosen from over 680 applicants.

The scholarship, valued at up to $210,000 over three years, will help cover Julien’s tuition and research-related expenses. Beyond financial support, the scholarship provides invaluable opportunities for networking, engagement with interdisciplinary communities, and access to events hosted by the Foundation.
