CMS/Tips - Problem with Manage Content permission

Users with Manage Content permission see an error message after updating a page

Problem with Manage Content permission

There is a problem with Manage Content permission at the moment.

Users with this permission will be able to edit pages, and their changes will be saved. However, when the Content Editor tries to refresh the page, the user will get an error message telling them that they do not have permission to do that action.

The Web Team have tried twice unsuccessfully to implement a fix for this problem, and are now waiting for advice from the Oracle experts before trying again.

As a temporary solution, please can site managers give any affected users Manage rights rather than Manage Content. This is the advice we are giving to any users who report this problem to the Service Desk.

Please let Marion Brady or Theresa Nichols know if you have any problems with this.
