Applications for the 2024 MEXT Postgraduate Scholarship are now open!

Are you interested in joining a postgraduate programme in Japan? The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT) are offering scholarships to international ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ who wish to study at Japanese universities. The scholarship is for final year and penultimate UK ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ who are interested in pursuing independent research or enrolling on a Master's/PhD course for a minimum of 18 months.

Tuition fees, six months of Japanese language education, a monthly allowance, return airfare and a student visa are all included!

Eligibility

All applicants must:

• Be a UK citizen and hold a UK passport
• Be under 35 years
• Be a graduate, or due to graduate before they depart for Japan

To be eligible for the programme you must be must a UK citizen under 35 years of age and hold a UK passport. All applications must be emailed to the scholarship office by Wednesday 31 May 2023, 17:00 (BST).
