Next week a group of Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ will arrive to undertake elective placements in London.

The 22 ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ are all in their final year, and are part of the inaugural cohort of - a collaboration between and Imperial.

Elective placements are an important part of the final year requirements, and the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ will be based at over 30 different hospital departments and GP surgeries from the end of August until early October. The placements have been organised by the London Office of LKCMedicine in liaison with Professor Mark Nelson, Professor of Human Immunodeficiency Virology Medicine at Imperial and a consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Imperial will be hosting an induction day for the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ on Tuesday 29 August, with speakers from Imperial and the NHS.

Martin Lupton, Associate Dean and Head of the Undergraduate School of Medicine, said: “We are really looking forward to hosting the LKCMedicine ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. At the end of the programme, we hope that the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ will have a great experience of healthcare within the UK, and enjoy the differences and similarities that exist between both our countries and schools.”
