New technique could lead to the next generation of tailor-made materials

Researchers have developed a method of controlling the composition of a range of polymers, which are commonly used as plastics and fibres.

The research led by and largely based on the postdoctoral research of Dr Charles Romain has developed a new technique to control the composition of a range of polymers, opening the way to the next generation of tailor-made materials.

An Imperial spin out company, , founded by Professor Williams, is licensing the discovery and commercialising of these materials.
