Lost and confusion are usually the common feelings for ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ who just started a PhD.

It won’t be the case for the ten new PhD ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ of the Controlled Quantum Dynamics Centre for Doctoral Training who gave talks about their MRes projects on Friday the 27^th of September.

The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ not only gave a fifteen minutes presentation about the research they carried out during the past six months, but also a general outlook of their future work during their PhD. In a packed room full of other ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, their numerous supervisors and members of the Centre for Doctoral Training, the ten ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ started numerous discussions about their projects that gave them useful insights and possible directions to their research.

A formal dinner officially ended the day and the MRes year and it was an occasion for the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ to relax and finish discussing their research with the directors. They are now ready to go to their laboratories or desks not feeling lost and confused, but full of ideas and enthusiasm to carry out great research.
