Over 90 second-year Bioengineering Undergraduate ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and tutors met with some of the top GB Paralympians at Ethos on Monday 29 October.

Over 90 second-year Bioengineering Undergraduate ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and tutors met with some of the top GB Paralympians at Ethos on Monday 29 October.

The session was part of the Engineering Design Project course where ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ design and build new sporting equipment for disabled athletes.

Some of the top GB Paralympic athletes were invited to talk to the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ about their sports, disabilities and equipment.

One of the guests attending the event - Sarah Storey - is a four-time Paralympic cycling gold medalist in London 2012. Sarah dominated the velodrome and the British Women’s Road Race during the 2012 Paralympic Games. Having won 11 Gold, 8 Sliver and 3 Bronze medals across 6 Paralympic Games, there is no doubt she is GB’s most successful Paralympian in history.

Neil Mosley, Head of Sport Imperial and Assistant Director of Commercial Services, commented that ‘Sport Imperial is delighted that we are able to play host to this exciting event. It’s an excellent opportunity for the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ to meet and talk to the athletes in person. I have no doubt that our ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ will feel inspired by the GB Paralympians.’
