Studentship Scheme 2007-2008

The Council offers a limited number of Studentships on a competitive basis to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ who are working in the alcohol field and wish to acquire appropriate professional qualifications by following a Taught Course.

Applicants must be ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and intend to commence their studies at a United Kingdom institution in the 2007/08 academic year.

The amounts and rates of the awards and the conditions that apply are similar to those of the Economic and Social Research Council. Currently these provide for:

Full-time ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½: A maintenance grant of £12,300 (£14,300 within the City of London or Metropolitan Police Districts). Fees are paid up to an annual maximum of 3,168.

Part-time ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½: the Council will pay the cost of the fees to the institution.
