ESA to send probe closer to the Sun than ever
ESA, with significant UK involvement, is set to unlock the secrets of the Sun!
On October 4, 2011, Solar Orbiter, in which the SPAT group is strongly involved, has been selected as one of the two Medium-class missions by ESA's Science Programme for implementation. These two missions are the first in ESA's Cosmic Vision 2015-2015 Plan.
