Jack and Ad attended the in Suwon, South Korea. It was a great conference and we were delighted to receive the prestigious 'Best Paper Award' for our paper: ", co-authored with Xin Zhou.
06/06/2025 - ICRA 2025 Conference, Atlanta, USA
Members of MTL recently attended the International Conference on Robotics and Automation () in Atlanta, USA. In total we had 4 presentations, covering topics in barometric tactile sensing, variable-friction manipulation, low-cost gripper designs, machine learning for in-hand-manipulation and proprioceptive haptic sensing.

09/04/2024 - Haptics Symposium Conference, Long Beach
Ad has been attending the in Long Beach, California. He has been serving as the Hands-on-Demonstrations Co-chair for the conference and is also presenting in the cross-cutting-challenge on consumer haptics.
27/03/2024 - TMRB paper
Ad has a new journal paper in IEEE Transactions on Medical Robotics and Bionics. This is a collaboration with his former PI, Prof Aaron Dollar, and former office mate, Dr. Yuri Glourmakov. You can view the paper here:

Xin and Ad from the MTL recently attended the , at the University of Oxford. Xin presented the Instagrasp via a poster.
15/08/2023 - Welcome Steve Murtough
We're pleased to welcome Dr Steve Murtough as the latest member of the MTL. Steve will be working as a part time Research Associate, processing user data from recent experiments in navigation assistance for persons with visual impairements.

Ad is attending the in Delft where he is presenting an invited talk at the workshop .
He's also presenting two Work-in-progress papers on MTL's research on haptic interfaces for visually impaired people.
