Life Sciences is at the core of every major issue facing the world today, from climate change to infectious disease.

Our Department of Life Sciences is one of the largest life science groups in Europe, with over 100 faculty, 180 research fellows and post-doctoral researchers, 200+ PhD ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and 180+ Masters ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. We are helping conquer malaria, seeking solutions for antimicrobial resistance, and studying the planet’s whole ecology.

We have 300 staff and our research spans levels of organisation from atoms to the biosphere, with external research grants totalling £20+ million. We run two major undergrad programs in Biological Sciences and Biochemistry with nearly 1000 ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. We host 302 Masters ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, and 145 PhD ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.

Our department is based on two campuses: in South Kensington and Silwood Park near Ascot in Berkshire.
