Szymon Kobus joined the Intelligent Systems and Networks Group at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ as a PhD student in October 2021. He has graduated Electronic and Information Engineering Master of Engineering programme also at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.

Although formulated not long after the creation of information theory, communication paradigms of semantic and effective communication remained underexplored due to the intractability of such tasks. Szymon's work focuses on finding out how the tools of deep learning can be used to implement those ideas to solve problems more effectively than classical theory.

His other interests focus on optimization, (multi-agent) reinforcement learning, communication, and information theory.
