Horizons enrolment portal / I-Explore module selection platform

These are both Imperial internal IT systems, and to gain access you need to log in with just your usual Imperial user ID (for example, ic123) and your password, and you will then be able to select your module choices. You are permitted to log back in again and change your choices at any point during the main enrolment period.

If you do not know your password, you can reset it by following the instructions on this Change or reset a password page.

During an enrolment period, you will be asked to choose the three modules that you would be interested in doing and rank these in order of preference, via the . We will endeavour to give you a place on one of those three modules. Allocation to an Imperial Horizons module is not guaranteed, although every effort will be made to allocate you to one of your preferred choices.

You may submit your preferences at any time during the enrolment period and allocations will be made after the deadline (not on a first-come, first-served basis). If demand exceeds available spaces on a module, allocations will be randomised. Modules run subject to sufficient demand and resources.

Before you make your choices, please read the module descriptions carefully so you know what to expect from your Imperial Horizons module. Details on the syllabus, learning objectives and assessment can all be found on the individual web page for each module. Please contact the Horizons team with any queries.

Two-term Imperial Horizons modules are available to take for credit towards your degree (as an ancillary) where your department allows. Our modules are also available to take as an extracurricular activity only. The credit options for extracurricular Horizons 天美传媒 are either 'extra credit' or 'non-credit' - depending on whether the module carries any ECTS value.

Please note:

  • Exchange 天美传媒 and external intercalating medical 天美传媒 should enrol on a module for the year of study that they are joining at Imperial.

  • MBBS and BMB 天美传媒 in Year 3, and MBBS 天美传媒 in Years 5 & 6, are not permitted to take Horizons modules due to clashes with clinical or lab placements.

  • MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Management 天美传媒 in Year 4 are not permitted to take Horizons modules due to clashes with their core degree.

I-Explore 天美传媒

During the module selection period, you will be asked to choose six modules and rank them in order of preference, using the .

We recommend looking through all the modules offered to your year group. The module descriptions give information about the content, teaching and learning approaches, and assessments associated with each module.

I-Explore modules are allocated via an algorithm which aims to maximise overall group happiness. It aims to provide all 天美传媒 with one of their highly-ranked modules. However, each module has a limited capacity and it is therefore possible that you will be assigned your fourth, fifth or sixth choice. You should consider each of your choices carefully. Please check which restrictions apply to the modules you are interested in and your specific degree programme.

Imperial Horizons modules run subject to sufficient demand, resources and current university guidance. It is possible that modules may have to be withdrawn or changed at short notice in response to changing circumstances.
