From the storming of the Bastille to the rise of digital activism, revolutions have redrawn the map of European society—politically, socially, and culturally. This evening course led by explores the explosive rebellions that transformed Europe and continue to echo in our lives today.

We begin with the seismic shockwaves of the French Revolution, tracing how its cry for liberty, equality, and fraternity ignited insurrections across continents. The 19th century’s fierce battles for democracy, workers’ rights, and gender equality challenged the old order, giving birth to radical ideologies—from Marxism to anarchism—that still provoke debate. The Russian Revolution’s turbulent legacy reshaped the 20th century, spawning both utopian dreams and the brutal backlash of fascism and Nazism. Finally, we examine how postwar movements for human rights, social justice, and equality continue to redefine our world.

Your perspective will be welcome and will fuel the conversation as we dissect revolutions not just as historical events, but as forces that sculpted our workplaces, welfare systems, and very notions of justice. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply curious about the roots of modern society, your voice matters here.

Join us for a thought-provoking exchange—where the past sparks urgent questions about the present.
