Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for learners who have completed German 4 on the after:hours programme or have equivalent experience, such as A Level German or level B1 on the Common European Framework for Languages. You should already be comfortable using a wide range of tenses and vocabulary.
Unless taking our German courses in sequence, we recommend contacting us for a free language level check prior to enrolment to ensure correct placement.
Course overview
This course aims to further develop all four language skills and focuses on more advanced grammar structures and topic-specific vocabulary.
Particular attention will be given to enhancing communication skills by encouraging debate on a wide range of contemporary cultural and social issues.
The sessions are designed to encourage and support your development of fluency, accuracy and confidence in using German in both spoken and written forms.
Advice on which course textbook to buy will be given before or in the first class.
