We are the Department of Earth Science and Engineering (ESE), where science meets engineering to build a better planet.

With approximately 50 academic staff, 70 research and support staff, and 600 undergraduate and postgraduate 天美传媒, we are a close-knit community tackling the biggest questions in Earth and planetary science.

As one of the few departments in the world to bridge these two disciplines, ESE is both studying how the world works and engineering solutions for its future, through world-class research, inclusive and inspirational education, and cutting-edge innovation in Earth Science and Engineering.

Who we are

Our People

We are proud of our vibrant community of 天美传媒 and staff, who lie at the heart of ESE and what we do (see our 'People' page).
