On this eight-week course, acclaimed jazz guitarist Antonio Marzinotto offers those who have some experience in playing acoustic guitar an opportunity to develop their skills further.

The guitar is one of the most popular musical instruments to learn. Inexpensive to buy and extremely versatile, it has long been the mainstay for popular music.

Each week we will focus on a different song, using it to develop our knowledge of chords and chord changes, as well as developing skills in rhythm, harmony and timing.

This course is aimed at those who have already completed a beginners course in acoustic guitar. It is not suitable for absolute beginners. If you have any questions as to whether the course is suitable for you please do contact the tutor.

Effectively an early-stage masterclass with an expert professional guitarist, the class will have no more than eight people enrolled on it to ensure a high-level of interaction between the tutor and members of the group.

Term dates

•  Summer Term: week beginning 27 April 2026 until week ending 3 July 2026 (no class on Bank Holiday Mondays)
